Valentine Ball 2013 at Denney Jewelers
Join us for our Third Annual Valentine Ball on

Saturday February 9, 2013 from 6 to 9 pm at Denney Jewelers

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with Denney Jewelers this year as we crown our Most Romantic Couple 2013. Enjoy a fun, relaxing evening with an open bar and a full spread of hors d’oeuvres, dancing lessons with friends, and a few romantic surprises. All of our guests will also receive a free, professional portrait photograph from Heather Reed Photography, and an additional 15 minute photo session will be available to purchase during the evening for interested couples.

To highlight the evening, the winner of our “Most Romantic Couple 2013″ contest from our A Little Romance blog will be announced and all of our nominees and finalists will be featured throughout the evening.

Our “People’s Choice Winner” will be selected with whomever has the most comments and highest rating on their story, so be sure to contact your friends and family to leave greetings for your favorite couple and share it on Facebook! We will also feature and count votes from an online poll the week of  February 4 on the Denney Jewelers Facebook page, so be sure to “Like” us to be notified of additional chances for voting for the People’s Choice Most Romantic Couple.

We extend our congratulations on all of the engagements and other romantic moments of our customers over the past year, and we look forward to celebrating Valentine’s Day with you!

A few special moments from last year’s Valentine Ball 2012…

Jennifer Aniston  reportedly received a massive 8-carat emerald-cut diamond engagement ring from boyfriend Justin Theroux during his 41st birthday celebration on August 10th. Aniston’s ring is a huge emerald-cut diamond  tapered diamond baguettes on the sides.

A classic choice, step- or trap-cut stones are often called Emerald cut after its most common application to Emerald gemstones. because that stone is often shaped in this style. Because both the pavilion and crown are comparatively shallow, step cut stones are generally not as bright and never as fiery as brilliant cut stones, but rather accentuate a diamond’s clarity as even the slightest flaw would be highly visible, whiteness, and lustre.

Due to the current vogue for brilliant and brilliant-like cuts, stones that are deep enough may be re-cut into more popular shapes. The step cut’s rectilinear form was very popular in the Art Deco period.  The slender, rectangular baguette (from the French resembling a loaf of bread) was and is the most common form of the step cut: today, it is most often used as an accent stone to flank a ring’s larger central stone.
