Denney Jewelers was founded in Jacksonville in 1954 by Ray Denney who believed in the pride of fine workmanship. Shane and Cathy took over the business when Ray retired in 1993 and moved the store across the street to a much larger showroom. When their children, Brian Denney and Matthew and Michelle Dearing entered the business in 2005, the family decided to expand again, this time to their current location in Springfield.
